Wine in the Vines: The Start of Something Special

There’s no better feeling than seeing something you’ve worked hard on finally come to life. On September 13th, Hunt Family Vineyards hosted our first-ever Wine in the Vines - a day filled with music, wine, and celebration that also marked our official grand opening and ribbon cutting with the Greater Franklin County Chamber of Commerce.

A special thank-you to Royalty Chanel Productions for capturing the beautiful moments from Wine in the Vines (featured throughout this story).

Music, Food & Community

Guests enjoyed performances from local favorites Preston Wilder and Outlaw6, filling the vineyard with the perfect mix of country and rock. Between sets, visitors wandered among the vendor tents, grabbed a bite to eat, and took in the scenery of our 180-acre property - home to 100 acres of muscadine vines.

Food trucks and local vendors offered everything from handcrafted goods to sweet treats, and Gents’ Bounty BBQ even made the trip from Goldsboro, NC - selling out by the afternoon!

A Toast to North Carolina Wine

Of course, no vineyard event would be complete without wine. This year, we partnered with C’est La Vino, a charming tap truck that served up a variety of North Carolina wines from Lu Mil Vineyard, Huffman Vineyards, Cauble Creek Vineyard, and Duplin Winery.

Guests sampled everything from classic muscadine whites to bold southern reds. For those who preferred a non-alcoholic twist, the Muscadine Mocktail - made with Mighty Muscadine juice, ginger ale, and lime - was a huge hit.

Meanwhile, the Hunt Family Vineyards team was set up with a fresh selection of pre-picked muscadines for sale, giving guests a taste of the grapes grown right here on the property.

Looking Ahead: Hunt Vineyards Weddings

A highlight of the day came when Taryn Stark Wyant, our official event and wedding planning partner, joined owner Perry Hunt on stage to share the exciting vision for Hunt Vineyards Weddings - a collection of venues that will begin hosting weddings in 2026.

In partnership with Taryn Stark Wyant Event Planning & Design and Harlow & Oak Weddings, this new chapter will bring unforgettable celebrations to North Carolina.

Just the Beginning

The success of Wine in the Vines wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible community who came out to celebrate with us - and the dedicated Hunt Family Vineyards team who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring it all together.

It was a beautiful day to share what we’ve been building, and it’s just the start of what’s to come at Hunt Family Vineyards.
